“Be motivated” (Art: lady with good aura, bringing a cup of coffee)

Going through your days, seemingly, goalless is mentally and emotionally draining. Even though you may have something in mind like goals, dreams, or visions for yourself, sometimes you tend to neglect or forget those things because you don’t feel like anything is going your way.

Why aren’t you hitting those goals?
Why does it still seem so far?
Why is your hard work not paying off?

Today, you will learn the answers to these questions and how you will go about life feeling more energized, motivated, and livelier than ever, while taking those steps toward your dreams.

Here are THREE simple ways to step up your game and be fueled with motivation every day. Now, all these are so ordinary that people tend to oversee its importance, but it works!

#1 SET YOUR SPECIFIC GOALS

Identify what you want to achieve, specifically. This first step may not be very popular with you because you may have grown up just mindlessly stating your dreams, but this is a good step for people who are driven by progress and perspective.

Don’t say: “I want to be rich,”
Do say: “I want to own a million-dollar pizzeria business.”

Don’t say: “I want to buy a house,”
Do say: “I want to buy this certain house in Quebec by January 2022.”

“specify”

Specifying your goals, dreams, or visions helps you create sub-goals or milestones which you should achieve at a specific time, place, path, or whatever condition you have set. Hence, your goals are now paving the way to your future actions.

Since this step will help you set your mind on things, you will now be able to visualize your goals more accurately, leading you to number 2.

#2 VISUALIZE YOUR GOALS

For sure, you are excellent in seeing or imagining yourself succeed in the future; but the question is, “Are you convinced, to your core, that it will truly happen?

Visualizing your goals should be done with esteem and a sense of conviction; meaning, you should claim that you can and will achieve them.

“visualize”

For Christians, don’t say: “Lord, I know you will make me a YouTube sensation,”
Do say: “Lord, I will be a YouTube sensation, and I will not settle with failure.”

This sure and confident attitude will help set your mindset and give you more emotional and mental strength as you go along. Note that if applied abusively, as in you’re just claiming it without pursuit and action, this will not make it as helpful as it should be. You can be confident, but you have to exert effort as much as or more than the fire you feel within you.

#3 KEEP TRACK AND CELEBRATE

Remember, it doesn’t stop at goal setting and visualization; this is where most people tend to lose motivation and energy: when they end it with visualization and a few exerted effort.

“track & toast”

It’s not that your goals are still far, or your hard work has not paid off; it’s just that you’re not looking at where you should be looking. You have to keep track of your progress and reward yourself for it. It is the best way for you not to lose your way towards your goal, and to refuel yourself.

If you are always on track with your progress, you will be able to appreciate yourself and your efforts more. It’s a good practice to say, “I’ve done well.” Acknowledging your little achievements will always fire you up to take the next steps toward the big goal!

Here’s a pin I made for some tips to track your progress:

Pin for tips to track your goals.
  1. Create a goal bulletin so that you will always remember your drive.
  2. Make sure to allocate a space to see how far you’ve gone.
  3. Make the board visible from your usual spot so that you will/can always see it.
  4. A sense of style will always fire you up and will make you want to look at the board more.
  5. Utilize your phone like so. You will find a lot of helpful apps online.

Of course, after saying, “I’ve done well,” you surely deserve a reward. Celebrate your progress so that you will give yourself more and more push for the big goal. It is entirely dependent on how you wish to congratulate yourself; it could be a simple tap on the chest for a job well done or a fancy dinner or just about anything!

Celebrating your progress is all about producing positive vibes within yourself and in your surroundings so that you will be more motivated for the next steps.

You must be thinking, What ordinary ways! But remember, in the most simple, littlest, and yet constant things, you’ll always find joy. What better way to start your day than with a good affirmation that you’ve done well into reaching your goal, or knowing you’re half-way through, or seeing that you’re 90% there!

In the end, it’s all about improving your mindset; and doing so does not only involve a mental affirmation that you’ve done well, but also a deliberate improvement of your physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness and environment.

Keep in mind that motivating yourself is not limited to these three tips. For sure, you have a lot of more creative and personal ways to do this; discover your way, and fuel your day!

Thank you for reading up to this point. May you have lovely and lively days!
